There were many organizations that I would like to join.  I visit the website of several.  I have listed the top three that I am going to use for this class.
NAEYC because it will keep me updated on what is happening in the Early Childhood field Nationally.  Plus they have trainings and conferences that interest me.  I receive their Young Children Journal and they have great resources and publications. The thing that caught my eye with this website is the upcoming conference and the issues and workshops that they are offering.  I would love to attend this conference.
Mission Statement:  NAEYC's mission is to serve and act on behalf of the needs, rights and well-being of all young children with primary focus on the provision of educational and developmental services and resources (NAEYC Bylaws, Article I., Section 1.1).
Save the Children is the world's leading independent organization for children. This organization meets the needs of children and community in time of trauma and disaster. What caught my eye is how they create the assistance for children and families in time of trauma and disaster.
Vision: is a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.
Mission: is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.
I am studying the World Forum Foundation as an alternative. I have worked with them on a small scale and I would like to learn more and hear what they have to say on issues as well.  This sight is a great resource.
Mission: “The mission of the World Forum Foundation is to promote an on-going global exchange of
ideas on the delivery of quality services for young children in diverse setting.”
I am excited to correspond and find out new information. Please check back for posts on information learned from these websites!

  2. There is so much information. You might check out the National Association for Family Child Care. They have webinars and different other publications that can fit into the Early Childhood field. I love hearing from you.
