As I grow in my professional career in the early childhood field and working with parents and children, I strive to follow a few of the Ideals from the National Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Division for Early Childhood (DEC).
Ideals (NAEYC)
1-1.2-- To be familiar with the knowledge base of early childhood care and education and to stay informed through continuing education and training. (I take a stand and continue to educate myself to learn different styles of families learning different ways that I can take a stand for the whole child to create a win/win for all involved).
1.1.3-- To recognizes and respect the unique qualities, abilities, and potential of each child. (I will recognize the child as a whole individual and learn as much as I can about him/or her).
Division of Early Childhood (DEC)
Professional Practice
1. We shall demonstrate in our behavior and language respect and appreciation for the unique value and human potential of each child. (Lead by Example by continuing education and collecting resources to empower others around me).
2. We shall demonstrate the highest standards of personal integrity, truthfulness, and honesty in all our professional activities in order to inspire the rust and confidence of the children and families and of those with whom we work. (Developing the trust and maintaining Integrity is important will create the ethical values that children will learn by example and be empowered to take on their dreams with success).
I am committed to supporting children and there development and learning by respecting individual difference where children will learn to live, play and work cooperatively. I am committed to promoting children's self-awareness, self worth and physical well being.
